Grow N4 has discovered an excellent meeting format: do some good old gardening, have a tea break to discuss the business and then get back to it. We met on Sunday at Parkwood Primary School and managed to dig out two normous bushes. They were so huge I thought we'd have to get a winch, but Liberty set us to work with forks and lopping shears and soon there were just two muddy holes! Next month we will be meeting at Jamboree playhuts to start things going there.

A string of coincidences allowed us to get our topsoil, compost and wood chips in time to start planting out on 21st February 2010. The final planting is imminent.

St John's Eco Fair, December 12th 2009

AnyaAnyaThis was a lovely celebration at Martyn's church. Martyn lets us use St John's for many of our meetings and he is active on the steering committee. His missus, Jen, was making loads of beautiful candles with children from recycled wax, which was very popular. We were very impressed by the guy from Magnificent Revolution who rigged up a bike to power the music.
