birdbox buildingFrankie organised a skill building event at the beautiful Blackstock Greenhouse on the 7th and 8th May. People turned up to make bird boxes, bug hotels and meditation stools using handtools.
All the boxes were made using old floorboards from the greenhouse site and rubber from old bicycle inner tubes...a rewarding couple of days working with young and old alike to provide habitat for our feathered and bug friends, and in the true spirit of the Blackstock Greenhouse which is always using old materials and hands on work in its ongoing development.
This is the first of what we hope will become a regular event when we get together to learn or refresh skills that are useful to know and even better to practice. If you think you could lead a skill based workshop and want some support please get in touch.
